I’m an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon Specialised in shoulder and upper limb procedures as well as hip and knee arthroplasty and arthroscopy.
I completed my medical training in 1999 through the University of Queensland. I went on to undertake sub-specialist orthopaedic training including fellowships in London, UK and Vancouver Canada, in sports injures and joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee. I was granted FRACS (Ortho) in 2010. I am also accredited in the diagnostic and therapeutic use of ultrasound imaging and can perform soft tissue and intra-articular injections as required.
During my tenure of 10 years in Townsville I ran my own practice, co-directed the Orthopaedic Research Institute of Queensland and the Director of Orthopaedics role and the Townsville Hospital and Health Services (2018/2019). In 2020 my family and I relocated to Hobart to commence a new chapter of my Orthopaedic Surgical career and Research for ORIQL.
