North Queensland Upper Limb Arthroplasty and Reconstruction Fellowship

Chief Supervisor: Dr Levi Morse FRACS FAOrthoA
Location: Townsville, Australia

The fellowship is largely clinical with a heavy weighting towards shoulder and upper limb surgery. Some flexibility exists to structure the fellowship with additional exposure to
knee and / or hip surgery depending on the fellow’s preferences. The fellow will also assist a research PHO and research coordinator in the research component of the
fellowship.

The goal of the fellowship is to provide experience in all forms of shoulder and upper limb surgery, in particular a very high volume of shoulder arthroplasty and arthroscopic
procedures. Exposure to elective elbow, wrist and hand procedures (arthroscopic and open) will also be in high volume.

The fellowship is based primarily in the private sector, however depending on the level of expertise of the fellow, the opportunity exists in the public sector to gain experience as the primary surgeon.

Townsville is an amazing part of Australia, with Magnetic Island, the Great Barrier Reef and rainforest waterfalls on your doorstep. The fellow will be encouraged to make the
most of their time in North Queensland to explore and enjoy!
